AB212 Retention Stipend Program


Attention Early Care and Child Development Providers!!!


AB 212 Retention Stipend Program Requirement:

All AB 212 participants who have completed 6 ECE units or more prior to this program year MUST successfully complete at least one 3-unit college/university course between July 1, 2011 and June 1, 2012 and MUST possess a Child Development Permit prior to June 1, 2012.


If You...

  • work in a licensed state funded program between July 1, 2011 to June 1, 2012 for nine consecutive months.

  • work with at least 3 children other than your own who are ages birth to 5 years 11 months or if you work in a licensed state funded before and/or after school program with children ages birth to 12 years 11 months.


You Can Earn...

  • $ 250 for taking 18 hours of workshops, trainings or conferences
  • $ 500 for taking 36 hours of workshops, trainings or conferences
  • $ 600 for taking 3 semester units
  • $ 1200 for taking 6 semester units
  • $ 1800 for taking 9 semester units
  • $ 2400 for taking 12 semester units

You may also qualify to earn up to $ 300 in textbook reimbursements

Note: You may be eligible for a higher stipend if you qualify for the degree track
