CARES/AB 212 Stipend Program
Attention Early Care and Child Development Providers!!!
CARES/AB 212 Stipend Program Requirement:
All CARES/AB 212 participants who have completed 6 ECE units or more prior to this program year MUST successfully complete at least one 3-unit college/university course between July 1, 2010 and June 1, 2011 and MUST possess or apply for a Child Development Permit prior to June 1, 2011.
If You...
-
work in a licensed child care facility, state funded program, Head Start program, or family child care home between July 1, 2010 to June 1, 2011 for nine consecutive months.

work with at least 3 children (2 children if you are a family child care provider) other than your own who are ages birth to 5 years 11 months (or if you work in a licensed state funded before and/or after school program with children ages birth to 12 years 11 months.)
You Can Earn...
- $ 250 for taking 18 hours of workshops, trainings or conferences
- $ 500 for taking 36 hours of workshops, trainings or conferences
- $ 600 for taking 3 semester units
- $ 1200 for taking 6 semester units
- $ 1800 for taking 9 semester units
- $ 2400 for taking 12 semester units
You may also qualify to earn up to $ 300 in textbook reimbursements
Note: You may be eligible for a higher stipend if you qualify for the degree track
