On January 1, 2007 the Riverside County Child Care Consortium (RCCCC) received a grant from First 5 Riverside to serve the Early Care and Education workforce with quality trainings and services. The Coordinated Specialization Training and Staff Development (CSTSD) Program fulfills the goals of the grant by: 1.) establishing partnerships with agencies to provide educational opportunities for the ECE workforce; 2.) linking with existing RCCCC programs to provide recruitment activities and ensure staff/provider retention; 3.) implementing a National Association for Family Child Care (NAFCC) Accreditation project; 4.) creating a resource Lending library and 5.) expanding the RCCCC website including an Event Calendar and Job Line. Through this funding the RCCCC is able to serve the diverse population and vast geographical area of Riverside County to meet the needs of both urban and rural communities.
