Services
Quality child care requires the involvement of parts of our community. To this end, the Riverside County Child Care Consortium supports all segments, both private and public, in developing programs for our children.

Our services include:

 
  • building connections at the local and state level to: develop policies supporting family and children's issues generate additional resources for child care
  • supporting individuals and programs that care for children
  • helping caregivers in nurturing their children and balancing the demands of family and work
  • collecting, analyzing and sharing information on child care supply and demand



Services for Providers:

 
  • provider training and workshops
  • assistance with starting or improving a child care program, including meeting regulations and other quality standards
  • help with accessing public subsidies
  • site development
  • consultation on environmental layout and design for child care programs
  • program assessment and consultation
  • provide professional growth and career guidance for the child care community

Services for Employers:

 
  • help with assessing and meeting employees' child care needs
  • technical assistance with developing on-site child care
  • employer options for helping employees balance work and family
  • parenting seminars for companies
  • provide training and evaluation on the Early Childhood Environment
    Rating Scale (ECERS), Infant Toddler Environment Rating Scale
    (ITERS), School Age Care Environment Rating Scale (SACERS), Family
    Child Care Environment Rating Scale (FCCERS)
  • assist child care centers with the National Association for
    the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Accreditation process
    through training and consultation
  • assist family child care providers with the National
    Association of Family Child Care (NAFCC) Accreditation process
    through training and consultation
